【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversrequirementsforextruded(castorblown)andcompression-moldedsheetingmadefromlow-,medium-andhigh-densitypolyethylenesandcopolymersinthicknessof0.25mm(0.010in.)andgreater.Dependingonthefunctionalrequirements,sheetingconformingtothisspecificationisusedinapplicationssuchaschemicaltanklinings,spacersinelectricalequipment,thermoformingintosuchitemsastrays,pallets,andshippingcontainers,andasmachine-shopstock.1.2Polyethylenematerials,beingthermoplastics,arereprocessableandrecyclable(seeGuidesD5033andD7209).Thisspecificationallowsfortheuseofthosepolyethyleneplasticmaterials,providedthatanyspecificrequirementsasgovernedbytheproducerandenduseraremet.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodsportion,Section11,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Note18212;ThereisnoknownISOequivalenttothisstandard.
