【摘要】:Thistestmethodcoverstheestimationofthenetheatofcombustionatconstantpressureinmetric(SI)units,megajoulesperkilogram.Thistestmethodispurelyempirical,anditisapplicableonlytoliquidhydrocarbonfuelsderivedbynormalrefiningprocessesfromconventionalcrudeoilwhichconformtotherequirementsofspecificationsforaviationgasolinesoraircraftturbineandjetenginefuelsoflimitedboilingrangesandcompositionsasdescribedinNote1.Note1-Theestimationofthenetheatofcombustionofahydrocarbonfuelfromitsanilinepointtemperatureanddensityisjustifiableonlywhenthefuelbelongstoawell-definedclassforwhicharelationshipbetweenthesequantitieshasbeenderivedfromaccurateexperimentalmeasurementsonrepresentativesamplesofthatclass.Eveninthisclass,thepossibilitythattheestimatescanbeinerrorbylargeamountsforindividualfuelsshouldberecognized.TheJP-8fuel,althoughnotexperimentallytested,haspropertiessimilartoJP-5andJetAfuelsandcanbeconsideredinthesameclass.Theclassesoffuelsusedtoestablishthecorrelationpresentedinthistestmethodarerepresentedbythefollowingapplications:ThenetheatofcombustioncanalsobeestimatedbyTestMethodD1405.TestMethodD1405requirescalculationofoneoffourequationsdependentonthefueltypewiththeprecisionequivalenttothatofthistestmethod.Thevaluesstatedinacceptablemetricunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
