【摘要】:ThisinternationalStandardspecifiesamethodforthedeterminationoftheultimateaerobicbiodegradabilityofplastics,basedonorganiccompounds,undercontrolledcompostingconditionsbymeasurementoftheamountofcarbondioxideevolvedandthedegreeofdisintegrationoftheplasticattheendofthetest.Thismethodisdesignedtosimulatetypicalaerobiccompostingconditionsfortheorganicfractionofsolidmixedmunicipalwaste.Thetestmaterialisexposedtoaninoculumwhichisderivedfromcompost.Thecompostingtakesplaceinanenvironmentwhereintemperature,aerationandhumidityarecloselymonitoredandcontrolled.Thetestmethodisdedignedtoyieldthepercentageconversionofthecarboninthetestmaterialtoevlovedcarbondioxideaswellastherateofconversion.TheconditionsdescribedinthisinternationalStandardmaynotalwayscorrespondtotheoptimumconditionsforthemaximumdegreeofbiodegradationtooccur.
